For large scale events, we require trained staff for first aid emergency and evacuation of the premises.

The basic requirement is for the provision of one first aider for every 50 (or part of 50) people. It is common practice to require security and fire officers to be qualified in first aid. However, in an emergency they will be pre-occupied with other duties and should not therefore count towards the basic provision of one first aider for every 50 employees.

Ambulances and fire brigade should be noticed and appointed as required.

Contractors involved in serious accidents on client premises, or whilst undertaking work on behalf of the client, must report the accident to the person responsible for the work by the quickest possible means. Reporting will not negate the contractors own duty to inform their line management or the Enforcing Authorities.
