We use inverted catches pours and cuts like sophisticated martial-art moves. We also play with various bar tools while in the process of making drinks. Just like this picture on the right can show.
Our techniques involve very precise pours and speed cuts that ensure proper accuracy with few spillages... Let's be honest, nobody is perfect!

In early 1997...
The Flair Bartenders' Network (FBN) was created to connect performance bartenders from around the world. The hope was to help spread the word about the 800 various competitions throughout the world, many of them being either local events or regional qualifiers of major national and international competitions.
Because of the rapid growth of this new freestyle performance sport in the past five years, the FBN quickly evolved into a worldwide membership association in 1998. This organization, The Flair Bartenders' Association, Inc. (FBA), is currently focusing on providing assistance to both bartenders and sponsors interested in new and existing events. The FBA currently endorses a few of the largest bartending competitions in the world.

The FBA is currently represented in countries all over the world.
It is the goal of the FBA to help teach the art of flair, grow the sport of freestyle or extreme bartending, and support all styles of performance bartending in a safe and fun manner.
FBA bartenders promote the safe, common-sense approach to learning and performing flair and other performance styles of bartending, recognizing that busy shifts are not necessarily the ideal time or place for anything more than simple working flair.
